Dear Mr. Adamya:

Here is my analysis to determine
the feasibility of health and physical fitness in elementary school. In
preparing this report, I have learned a great new thing in health and physical
fitness as it not only makes them fit but also can help them in the future. My
summary states that this is an excellent place for the students to excel and it
can help them to be stress-free and can also learn new things. I recommend that
the school should also encourage the students to go out and enjoy outside as it
will not only help them to play but also they can change their minds from
studies and when they will take a break and work again they will be more
focused.

There were few problems I
encountered while doing the research for my report is that some elementary
school give the specific time to the students to play. Additionally, more than
50%of the students are obese and are facing a lot of health issues which are
dangerous and lead to death. With increasing time students do not want to go
out and play but are busy with the technology.

I recommend that the schools
should have equal distribution for the studies and for the physical fitness.

If you have any questions about
this report and/or the information and conclusions found within it, do not
hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely

Recommendation

1.    Any student interested in health and
physical fitness should take advice from the professionals to excel in their
field and should start working on it.

2.    Elementary schools should increase the time
span for the games as students are interested and it has a lot of importance
which can help the students to excel in their field.

3.    If students do not want to go to this field
and are not interested but should play and be part of it as this will surely
help you not only being fit but also stress-free.

Introduction

Health and physical fitness involve
exercise activities that you do in order to improve your physical health and
stay healthy, particularly in the categories of cardiovascular endurance,
muscular strength, flexibility, muscular endurance and body composition.
(Alberta Learning. 2002). The importance of the health and physical fitness
are:

•
Make effective personal decisions for current and future issues and
challenges

•
Time management

•
Give them strength to cope up with the stress of studies.

•
Cope with change and transition

•
Analyse and manage career and health-related information

•
Recognize and expand personal skills

•
Recognize, explore and expand career opportunities and options. (Alberta
Learning. 2002)

Health and physical fitness is very
important as if we do not do exercise then people might get affected with the
problems that may turn dangerous. Health fitness not only makes you fit but
also help you to succeed in the future in another field. It will give you
self-confidence, teamwork and time management.

To help answer these questions,
this report analyses information gathered from professionals as well as from
the literature. After defining health and physical fitness, the following
report examines the stats in elementary school, required skills and personality
qualities, career benefits and drawbacks, and various entry options.

Literature Review

Although much of health and
physical fitness is written according to Jim Rohn “Take care of your body it’s
only you need to live”. As healthy body resides in the healthy mind and it is
really helpful for the children as it has many importance to succeed in their
life. (Alberta Learning. 2002)

•
It will make them active

•
Stress free

•
They can easily enjoy the time while playing

•
Teamwork

•
Time management

•
Leadership

•
Build confidence

Furthermore, Health and physical
fitness is the key to success and leads to the betterment of life. As physical
exercise is good for the body so, is mental exercise for mind. We need to take
care of ourselves and assure that you will live long life not only physically
but also mentally.

Purpose

The purpose and goal of this report
are to outline the importance of health and physical fitness in elementary
school.

Methods

For this topic, research was
conducted through online databases accessed through an online website, and on
an online library catalogue. Included in this report is one peer-reviewed,
recently published journal article, written and edited by experts in the field
of health and physical fitness, statistics from an online website. It was
important, for the purposes of this study, to find sources that were published
within the past 5 years, by experts in the field. Because the field is about
the health and physical fitness sources was important. The culmination of the
research inquiry for this project is four excellent sources that both study the
problem and offer a range of solutions.

Results

According to the research, the

2.    Side effects

3.    Why do we need to increase the time for

Statistics of health and physical fitness in Edmonton elementary
school-

Figure 1: Why couch potatoes are
more likely to do poorly in school. (2017, June 05). https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/education/why-couch-potatoes-are-more-likely-to-do-poorly-in-school/article4184787/

According to the survey 51% of the
Canadians are obese and are suffering from the chronic and other diseases. (Darren
E.R., Warburton, Nicol W.C, Shannon S.D. Bredin., 2006,
March) Students are becoming couch potato and are technology freak.

The bar graph depicts the
statistics of student in Edmonton who they prefer to play games how many
minutes per day.

Initially, Boys and girls like to
play games. But, the highest number of students prefer to play only for 30
minutes a day, not more than that as with increasing the time to 60 or 90
minutes a day the ratio was decreasing. Moreover, students chose to play on for
a day as with growing day students are reducing and it shows that students only
prefer to play 30minutes a day.

Moving on to 60 and 90 minutes a
day the number was decreasing fastly as it was going down and only small
fraction of students wanted to play for 60 or 90 minutes else preferred to play
only for 30 minutes a day.

In nutshell, students of Edmonton
can only play for 30 minutes a day. Furthermore, they can play for 30 minutes
for 2-3 days more. (Why couch potatoes are more likely to do poorly in school. 2017,
June 05).

Secondly, if the students are not
physically fit they might face a lot of problems in the future.

Side Effects –

1.    First of all, the obesity rates are
increasing and it is found that children under the age of 10-    15 years are more obese and it leads to
many diseases. Such as-

ü  type
II diabetes

ü  Thyroids.
(Shah, S., Allison, K. R., Schoueri?Mychasiw, N., Pach, B., Manson, H., &
Vu?Nguyen, K. 2017, May 02)

ü
Cancer

ü
Hypertension

ü
Depression

ü
Osteoporosis (Darren E.R., Warburton, Nicol
W.C, Shannon S.D. Bredin., 2006, March)

2.    It may lead to cardiovascular problems as
heart attack or heart failure due to the increase in weight and it turns fatal.
(Shah, S., Allison, K. R., Schoueri?Mychasiw, N., Pach, B., Manson, H., &
Vu?Nguyen, K. 2017, May 02)

3.    If they will not go out and not gel with
other people, they will always stay with themselves and will not learn the two
basic things to succeed in their life. Their nature will become unfriendly. (Shah,
S., Allison, K. R., Schoueri?Mychasiw, N., Pach, B., Manson, H., & Vu?Nguyen,
K. 2017, May 02)

Why do we need to increase the time for health and physical fitness?

The time span should increase as
they have numerous advantages which are helpful in the future-

1)Team Work –

“Alone we can do so little,
together we can do so much. “-Helen Keller

It is rightly said that “All work
no play makes Jack a dull boy “. Only study no play can make the students feel
low and there will be no enthusiasm in their life so that they need to do
physical exercise and will also learn teamwork as people who know team work go
ahead in their life and working in the team is like a cherry on the cake. You
not only learn team work but also your leadership will increase. (Alberta
Learning. 2002)

2)Confidence-

“Self-confidence is the memory of
success”. – David Storey

It is the most attractive thing
anybody can have and it is rightly said that Action speaks louder than words so
your body shows how confident are you and it not only make your body fit but
also your mind fit. Confidence should carry gracefully and If you fall don not
lose hope stand up and play or live the life. (Alberta Learning. 2002)

3)    Time Management

“As every thread of gold is
valuable so is every moment of time” ?John Mason

Time is so precious that we need to
make the appropriate use of it. For that time management is key and everybody
should learn it and from physical fitness, students will learn the importance
of time and how to manage it for the future. (Alberta Learning. 2002)
