To
answer the research question “How can the client’s mental well-being be
described?”, the client had to fill out the MHC-SF questionnaire (Keyes, 2009).
Because the client achieves a total t-score of 54,49 which displays an average
score, the research criteria for a diagnosis of flourishing or languishing are
not accomplished and Ms R. can be described as moderately mentally healthy.
Thus, the hypothesis “The client’s mental well-being can be described as
flourishing” is rejected.                                                                                               To
answer the research question “To what degree does the client experience
stress?”, the PSS was conducted (Cohen, 1994). The analysis of the test reveals
that the client achieves a total t-score of 57,74, which reflects an average
score. Since this score falls below the test criterion of at least 60-70, it
can be concluded that Ms R. experiences an average level of stress. Thus, the
hypothesis “The client experiences an above average level of stress” can be
rejected.                                                                                                                                    To
answer the research question “How can the personality of the client be described?”,
the client completed the HEXACO-PI-R test instrument (Lee & Ashton, in press). In
the emotionality scale of this personality test, the client obtains a t-score
of 63,33 which displays an above average score. Therefore, Ms R. expresses an
above average level of emotionality.        Additionally,
she achieves a t-score of 50,83 in the extraversion-scale. Due to the fact that
this score falls below the test criterion of at least 60-70, Ms R. shows an average
degree of the character trait extraversion. Moreover, in the conscientiousness scale,
a t-score of 48,30 is obtained. Since this score represents an average score,
it can be concluded that Ms R. expresses an average level of the trait
conscientiousness.                                                   Finally,
it can be summarized that the hypothesis “The client scores high on
extraversion, conscientiousness and emotionality” is rejected. Ms R. actually scores
high on emotionality however she does not obtain an above average score on the
scales extraversion and conscientiousness.
